Candlelight Concerts: Best of Hip-Hop on Strings - Date Night!

I recently surprised my husband Edwin with a date night at a Candlelight Concerts hosted by Irondale in Brooklyn, and it was an absolutely magical experience!

The moment we arrived at the beautiful church venue, I knew we were in for something special. The staff at Irondale were incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel welcomed and comfortable from the start.

The ambience of the venue was breathtaking. The dimly lit space, illuminated by a thousand candles, created a mesmerizing and romantic atmosphere. It truly felt like we were part of something extraordinary. We even had the opportunity to enjoy some spirits from the little bar during the show, which added to the overall enjoyment of the evening.

The highlight of the evening was, of course, the Highline String Quartet performance. My heart was filled with happiness as they played Edwin's favorite songs, many of which were not traditional choices for a string quartet. The quartet's energy and talent were palpable, and we found ourselves getting more and more engaged as the program progressed. 

I was even moved to tears at one point, overwhelmed with gratitude for being able to share this beautiful experience with the person I love most.

I must also give a special shoutout to the percussionist, known as the "Oregon Man," who was absolutely divine in his craft. His contribution added a unique and captivating dimension to the overall performance. Additionally, I want to acknowledge the 4th violinist, although not listed in the program, whose talent was evident and deserving of praise.

As the concert came to a close, the quartet performed a final song that was truly mesmerizing, leaving us wanting more. 

We left feeling immensely grateful for the Candlelight Concerts and Highline String Quartet for providing us with such a memorable and enchanting evening.

Lastly, I want to mention Irondale as a venue. Located in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, Irondale is a truly remarkable event center. Its grandeur is evident through its high ceilings and beautiful stained glass windows. The flexibility of the seating arrangement makes it an ideal place for various events, including weddings, benefits, and performances.

Overall, our experience at the Candlelight Concert hosted by Irondale in Brooklyn was absolutely fantastic. It deepened our love for music and brought us closer together. I highly recommend attending these concerts, as they offer a unique and magical way to enjoy live music in awe-inspiring locations.
