Edwin's 40th Birthday Date Night - Dirty Circus 10.21.23
Amy Snow Review
Oh, let me tell you about the wickedly enchanting experience my husband Edwin and I had at House of Yes - Dirty Circus 10.21.2023 for his marvelous 40th Birthday! It was a night of pure magic that we'll cherish forever.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and open arms by the lovely Madame Vivien V. She had the most deliciously wicked sense of humor that instantly made us feel at home. A kinky family of misfits.

Our seats, oh my, they were absolutely perfect! We had the best view of the sensational performances that unfolded before our eyes. The entire cast was beyond talented, embodying a unique blend of raw sensuality, vibrant energy, and astounding skill. They captivated us, leaving us wanting more.

And speaking of wanting more, after the Dirty Circus show, the fun was far from over! We danced the night away with the cast at the Vampire Event that followed. The energy was electric, and we couldn't resist letting loose and becoming one with the pulsating beat.

The security team at House of Yes deserves a special mention. They were phenomenal! They ensured that our experience was safe, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the night's festivities without a worry in the world. We truly felt cared for and protected.

Now, let me tell you about the devilishly beautiful creature who worked at a makeup station in the club. She put her vampire makeup magic on me! She applied the most mesmerizing makeup, painting my lips in shimmering red blood. I wish I had caught her name so I could properly credit her, for she truly made me feel like a glamorous seductress. Thank you beautiful devil for the esquist makeup & conversation.

But that's not all! House of Yes knows how to please all palates, even the vegans among us. They had a scrumptious selection of empanadas, with delightful vegan options. It was a sweet touch that showed their commitment to catering to everyone's needs. There were bars everywhere with little to no lines & the housemaid drinks that were pure delight.  Also, non alcoholic mixed drinks which was a nice touch.

House of Yes - Dirty Circus for a night of pure delight and adventure. It's a place where inhibitions melt away, and you can embrace your naughtiest desires!

Once upon a time in a land called East Williamsburg Brooklyn, two adventurous souls named Anya and Kae decided to start a circus theatre and creative event space called House of Yes. They wanted to bring the magic of aerial classes and mind-blowing performances to amazing audiences. The original House of Yes was a home filled with passion and dedication, until the evil rising rent forced them to find a new location.

But fear not! Anya and Kae, along with their new partners Justin and Ilan, found a new space in the neighborhood where it all began - Bushwick. They created a temple of expression, where the creative magic of House of Yes could continue to thrive. The space became their creative base, but that wasn't enough for Anya and Kae. They wanted to share their magic with the world, so House of Yes began popping up in cities like New Orleans, Miami, Los Angeles, Tennessee, and even London.

Now let's rewind to the beginning. The first House of Yes was a messy but perfect loft filled with trash, leaky ceilings, and curious odors. But Anya saw the potential and signed the lease. Walls were torn down, kitchens were installed, and studios were created. The House of Yes became a hub driven by passion and love, the House of Yes quickly became a creative oasis in the heart of Brooklyn. Artists, musicians, dancers, and creatives of all kinds flocked to the house, making it their home. They hosted dinner parties, movie screenings, and even yoga mornings. It was a place where creativity flourished and the spirit of fun reigned supreme.

But tragedy struck when a kitchen fire reduced the beloved House of Yes to rubble. The cat pilgrim was lost, and the residents lost not only their possessions but also their creative haven. However, the love and support of the underground arts community inspired the House of Yes to rise from the ashes.

Finding a new space was no easy feat, but with the help of generous donors and fundraisers, the House of Yes found a dilapidated former ice-house in East Williamsburg. They transformed it into a bigger and better version of the original, with double the space and double the potential for creativity. The House of Yes became a center for culture events, hosting fashion shows, movie screenings, and aerial theater shows. People from all over came to support and be a part of the House of Yes community.

But alas, rising rent struck again, forcing the House of Yes to close its doors once more. But the story doesn't end there! The House of Yes, fueled by the love of its fans and the unwavering support of its friends, embarked on a new adventure. After months of searching, Anya and Kae, along with new collaborators Justin and Ilan, found a new home in the vibrant neighborhood of Bushwick.

Full circle, they returned to the place where it all began. This new House of Yes would be the start of the third chapter of their whimsical tale. With a 10-year lease in hand, they set out to create a space that would continue to showcase the best talent in the city!

And so, the House of Yes presents Dirty Circus, their longest-running variety show. It is a spectacle of the raw and raunchy, filled with aerial acrobatics, skillful performances, and brilliant acts. Anya Sapozhnikova, the co-founder and creative genius behind the House of Yes, meticulously crafts and curates the show, ensuring that every act is a heart-pounding experience for its audience.
